HEXATONIC MATRICES HEXATONIC MATRIX 1 The Symmetric Hexatonic Scale is a mode of limited transposition. After three transpositions the next scale will be the same as the first, starting on a different note. For example, the fifth row across is the same scale as the top row across and the sixth row across has the same notes as the second row across.
